About Us
Katie Meyler.
Founder
After meeting Carlito, a 4-year-old boy who slept under a car in Bolivia, Katie was never the same. She knew she would spend her life working on behalf of Carlito and children like him. She spent a year living and working in post-war Liberia, and then returned to the USA to embark upon an 8-month speaking tour, sharing her life experiences with students. Katie loves dancing, writing, riding her bike in the city, trying to speak Spanish, and can most likely be found talking to a stranger. She lives by the motto, "Strangers are friends we haven't met yet."

Erica Duncan.
Board Member / Secretary
Despite her career as a corporate tax attorney, Erica has fortunately been able to find ways to utilize her degree and skills to help others. She has advised non-profits on U.S. tax issues, represented a Guinean family in an immigration asylum case, and organized a trial advocacy training program in Liberia, West Africa. During her stint in Liberia, Erica was able to see firsthand what it means for education to be a luxury when she met a family who could not afford to send their child to school. Assisting the family with their educational expenses led Erica to seek additional opportunities to help Liberia's children. It was around this time that she met Katie Meyler who had already begun to sow the seeds for More than Me.
Erica enjoys traveling, photography, training for and running marathons and salsa dancing. Her favorite quote is "Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect." - Chief Seattle
